You are active as a professional type designer, but you would like to continue to grow in the graphic field? Or would you like to master a new skill?

The Plantin Institute of Typography offers a practical course teaching you how to design type. This Expert class Type design takes place under the roof of the renowned Museum Plantin-Moretus in Antwerp. The course comprises nine daylong, online sessions, supplemented with a four-day Kick Off event in Antwerp (20–23 October 2025). This practical course is one of a kind and attracts an international audience of type designers.

Open Day

Our first Open Day of 2025 is on Saturday 15 March 2025, at 2 p.m. Central European Time.

Jeremy Tankard will join us and will answer your questions. You can attend the session live, in the Museum Plantin-Moretus, or online with Zoom. We will show you how we combine on-site and remote lessons.
