Exercise Typographical evolution

You are active as a professional type designer, but you would like to continue to grow in the graphic field? Or would you like to master a new skill?

The Plantin Institute of Typography offers a practical course teaching you how to design type. This Expert class Type design takes place under the roof of the renowned Museum Plantin-Moretus in Antwerp. The course comprises nine daylong, online sessions, supplemented with a four-day Kick Off event in Antwerp (20–23 October 2025). This practical course is one of a kind and attracts an international audience of type designers.

Open Day

Our Open Day is on Saturday 21 June 2025, at 2 p.m. Central European Time.
If you wish to join this year’s Expert Class Type Design, it’s best to attend the session at 2 p.m. CET. Interest in this course is high, and the maximum number of students for the 2025–26 edition is nearly reached.

Jeremy Tankard will join us and will answer your questions. You can attend the session live, in the Museum Plantin-Moretus, or online with Zoom.
