Open day 2024
Are you professionally active, but do you want to continue to develop within the graphic field? Or do you want to master a new skill?
The Plantin Institute of Typography offers a practical course where you learn how to design type under the roof of Museum Plantin-Moretus in Antwerp. This Expert class Type design comprises nine daylong, online sessions, supplemented with a four-day kick-off event in Antwerp (21–24 October 2024). This practical course is one of a kind and attracts an international audience of type designers.

The Open Day of the Plantin Institute was on Saturday 24 August 2024.

We will make an appointment for an information session, in our classroom in the Museum or via Zoom.
High demand
Due to the high international interest in this year’s Expert class Type design, we will admit 24 students instead of 16. Therefore, registration is open again!
The four-day kick-off event (October 21–24) is for the entire group. The online classes, held from November to April, will be given twice, on Mondays and Wednesdays, each time from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
